Hey sorry if this is really random, but I remember you headcanon-ed once that the Q Continuum's Opera music would sound like Pinky Floyd's Great Gig in the Sky. I actually just came across a cover of it played on the theremin and also a Continuum brand Fingerboard! :D The sound is really cool and you can look up "Grégoire Blanc" cover of it on Youtube if you're interesting ^_^ Love all your content from different fandoms :)

All 13 full moons of 2023.

A year is a mighty long time. You folks went through quite a few phases in the last year, year number two thousand and twenty-three, to be precise. You met and parted with mini variants of yourselves, like Russian dolls. A few skins were shed, one might say. Well, we've got news.

It seems you're in good company: the moon, our celestial neighbor, did just the same thing. Over 12 months, there were 13 moons. One each for each month, the whole year round, and one to spare, you know. Just in case of emergencies.   

With that in mind, we thought we would take the chance to celebrate this most mysterious friend that decorates the sky each night—and marvel at its unattainable beauties.

Swear Words By Fantasy Language

Common: hit your thumb really hard and see!

Dwarvish: Dwarves don’t have any swear words. Rather, a Dwarf must show their craftsmanship by combining non-swear words in a vulgar way. You’ve not been truly offended until a dwarf calls you a house-painting-horse-bargainer.

Elves: Elvish has exactly one swear word, and each elf can only use it once in their life. If uttered it kills all plant life in 300ft and everything capable of hearing must make a wisdom saving throw or disintegrate on the spot.

Giant: Giant contains such swearwords as “double fuck”, which is like normal fuck but twice as big.

Gnomish: Gnomish uses things like “tax returns” and “fiscal responsibility” as swear words. Mentioning your accountant will have you thrown out of respectable gnomish society

Goblin: Honestly, it’s easier to list the words in goblin that aren’t swear words.

Halfling: Halfling has incredibly harsh swear words, to the surprise of everyone when this pastoral little man toddling around a farm and eating muffins calls you a motherfucking shithead cockface

Draconic: Draconic swear words translate to things like “gosh darn it” and “oh heckers” but, to be fair, they come off as more serious when roared at you while you’re on fire.

Orcish: Orcish contains no swear words. Don’t assume based on stereotypes.

I love the way Dorian and Ashton both talk to the Arch Heart.

Because Ashton is hell bent on dragging them down to their level. Ashton wants every bastard with a superiority complex to feel a boot on the neck for just a moment. It doesn't matter if that person has more money, more magic, or infinite power. They would be no where without the people they're standing on. The workers they exploit, the libraries they study, the worship they receive. All that power comes from the collective, the little guy. And Ashton wants all of them to come down to earth and fucking see who they've been using for the first time.

While Dorian is still stuck on the narrative that mortals are their children. You don't give birth to things that are not of you, or are completely different than you. Dorian keeps hearing "we're like you". He keeps hearing about the fear of mortality and the bonds of family. He knows that the gods and mortals are the same. And he's hell bent on reminding them that they are equals. If they weren't the same species: how could they come so close to godhood? How could a mortal become a god? Dorian speaks to the gods with no reverence, no policing of his tone. Because as they sit at the Arch Heart's table, with fake food and fake wood and fake bounty, they are equals. They are both in the same position. Dorian Storm does not think himself a god. He just knows the Gods are the same as them. Him and the Arch Heart both create and revel in beauty. Of course one gave to the other. But everyone must have a teacher. And there will always come a time where the teacher and the student can play a duet in such harmony no one can decipher who once taught who.

I just realised that the MC's hatred for Walter's singing doesn't exist just because she's a colossal hater, it's because he's basically an angel ("celestial", whatever). His singing isn't actually shit, it's just how it sounds to her ears because she's a demon.

No wonder he didn't get hurt at all by being regularly insulted. Even the chillest himbo would eventually feel bad after getting his artistic spirit ripped to shreds in every interaction, but he knew the MC didn't hear the same thing as the humans since he knew she wasn't one of them.
